The order is for a Zenith 400 Helical Profile Grinder – a model launched by Holroyd Precision Ltd. at EMO Hannover 2011 and the company’s first machine to embrace all three grinding technologies: aluminium oxide, ‘diamond hard’ plated CBN (cubic boron nitride) and vitrified, dressable CBN.

North West based Holroyd Precision Limited, a world leader in the supply of precision gear, thread & rotor grinding and milling machines, is to receive £2.8 million from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund.

PTG Heavy Industries, part of the UK-based Precision Technologies Group, have secured orders for two of their innovative Powerstir Friction Stir Welding (FSW) machines from leading organisations in the Russian space industry. Scheduled for delivery in early 2013 – and with a combined value in excess of £2 million – the orders provide an exciting new market opportunity for PTG.
